Since its launch, the website has grown into a truly inclusive resource, carefully designed with different audiences in mind. Tailored content guides homeowners, renters, and landlords through the clean energy options most relevant to them, while curated contractor lists and additional resources make it easy to get an installation started. Special programs like the Home Modernization Navigator go even further, offering free support services to residents in select cities. With such a large volume of information to present, user experience was a priority throughout development to ensure that every piece of content was well-organized and easy to find.
Equally important is making this information accessible to all residents, regardless of the language they speak at home. The site was professionally translated into six additional languages, selected based on the most widely spoken languages across Massachusetts. This work required signifcant programming and planning to replicate the site architecture across each language version, ensuring every visitor receives Clean Energy Lives Here's educational resources and a high-quality experience in their native language.
