S/R: Where are you from?
AC: I grew up in Medford, MA.

S/R: What is your role at Stark / Raving?
AC: I started with Stark / Raving as a copywriter in March of 2021, and I’m now the Director of Content, overseeing everything copy-related.

S/R: Do you have any pets?
AC: Unfortunately, no, because none of my apartments have allowed them, but I had dogs growing up. I’ll have my own dog and cat one day.

S/R: What was the last book you read?
AC: I’m in the middle of reading The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski while I wait impatiently for season 3 of The Witcher.

S/R: What do you do outside of work?
AC: Most of my weekends are spent with friends and family, and I love baking, decorating cookies, and playing video games in my free time.

S/R: Favorite place you have visited?
AC: In college, I did a semester in Rome, and I loved every second of it! I used to be conversationally fluent in Italian, and I’m very interested in ancient history. I also got to eat lots of gelato, pasta and pizza.

S/R: What food can’t you have enough of?
AC: I could eat cake every day.

S/R: How do you take your coffee/ tea?
AC: Lattes are my favorite (specifically pumpkin spice) but most days I just have coffee with cream and sugar.

S/R: If you could have superpowers for one day, what power would you choose?
AC: I wish I could teleport. I don’t drive, and I’ve never been a fan of car rides or long travel times.

S/R: What is a fun fact about yourself?
AC: I’m a triplet! My sisters and I aren’t identical, but everyone always thought that they were twins and I was the older sister.

S/R: What is your favorite tv show?
AC: The Great British Baking show is my all-time favorite, but I love any food competition show, like Worst Cooks of America or the many Food Network baking championships.

S/R: Wine or beer?
AC: Usually wine, though sometimes I’m in the mood for a beer.

S/R: What is your favorite season?
AC: Early fall – I love that we still have warm summer weather, but all my favorite fall flavors come back.

S/R: Are you left-handed or right-handed?
AC: Left-handed, and I’m loving how many other lefties are at Stark / Raving.

S/R: What is your favorite color?
AC: Pink is my favorite color, and it saddens me that I can’t decorate my entire house in pink and gold (but I’m pretty sure my partner wouldn’t like that).

S/R: Who is your favorite band and your favorite song they’ve released?
AC: It’s tough to name just one, but my all-time favorite band is probably The Fray and my favorite song by them is “Look After You.” But right now, I’m very into STARSET, and I love their song “Gravity of You.”

S/R: What is something that will never be in your recipe book?
AC: I’m pickier than I like to admit – I don’t like most kinds of fish, mushrooms, veal, meat on the bone, or anything that is heavy in mustard or mayonnaise (looking at you, mayo salads). Plus, I’m allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, sesame seeds and poppy seeds, so that limits me as well.

S/R: What is your favorite holiday?
AC: I love Christmas! My grandmother hosts Christmas Eve for my dad’s side of the family, and my parents host Christmas Day every year for both sides. It’s always so busy, but so wonderful for everyone to get together and celebrate.

S/R: Why did you pursue a career in writing?
AC: Growing up, I loved reading and writing fiction. I went to college initially for a degree in novel writing and publishing, but by chance I ended up have internships in marketing and journalism. After that, I decided that I wanted to go into copywriting.

S/R: What would you do if you weren’t a copywriter?
AC: If I didn’t become a writer, I would have gone to culinary school to be a baker and cake decorator.
